I highly recommend this facility. It is well run and the staff is friendly. Carolina, my therapist there is amazing. My... arm had been hurting for months and the orthopedist sent me for physical therapy without really explaining what was going on. Carolina did, and worked with me until I was able to resume my daily activities without pain. She is excellent, the best therapist I have had in my 82 years.read more

My experience with CT Family Physical Therapy has been very positive based on their personalized service and attention... to creating long term solutions and exercises to address the back and leg pain that brought me to them. From the friendly and welcoming reception and ease of making appointments, thank you Liz, to the individualized care plan and treatment, thank you Mike, I had a great experience here.My sessions were tailor made to suit my needs, Mike is flexible and attentive, observing carefully while I did my exercises, always checking that they were being done correctly. It was encouraging to see my progress, and being able to use the ski machine! The video links of exercises to be done at home between appointments were also very helpful.It was reassuring to be treated by a well qualified professional, and best of all to be playing tennis again.A huge thank you to everyone at CT Family Physical Therapy and I know where to come if I need further treatment.read more

CT Family PT has always been exceptional for me. I was treated for a rotator cuff repair with great results. Most... recently Mike Racca is treating my Achilles insertional tendinitis. Outstanding PT OfficeA few years back I was treated with good results at CT Family Physical Therapy in Westport for... back issues . Therefore recently, as I needed PT to recover from a foot injury, I chose this center again.CT Family Physical Therapy was able to immediately accommodate my schedule and thanks to PT Carolina's excellent skills and guidance I was able to recover in record time and am now back on the tennis court!On my last visit with her I mentioned that I was on a liquid diet, because of a very painful lockjaw. Carolina recommended that I talk to Mike, Clinic Director, who specializes in the treatment of TMJ issues.This was a rare and lucky find!!After a thorough evaluation. Mike has now treated me for only 4 weeks and already I am mostly pain free and am able to eat typical food again!The undivided attention these therapists give is absolutely amazing! They observe and listen, formulate a personalized treatment plan, adjust it as necessary and demonstrate compassion and understanding during each 45 min session. Truly remarkable!The whole office presents a peaceful atmosphere. It is bright and clean and you are greeted by a friendly smile from Liz in the office, who is knowledgable and helpful regarding any insurance questions.CT Family Physical Therapy deserves my highest recommendations!read more

I went to CFPT for 5 weeks. The facility is very clean, quiet and relaxing with modern equipment. Everyone is polite... and welcoming. My PT was Kristin Gerst. She helped me with my back pain tremendously. I find her to be very knowledgeable and professional. She is very attentive, listens, and works with the patient. I already recommended her to my neighbor. I was lucky to have had her as my Doctor.read more

Connecticut Family Physical Therapy is a great place that I highly recommend to my friends!! My physical therapist... called me to discuss my presenting physical problems in great detail before my first appointment so he was ready with a treatment plan when we first met.The space is clean and warm and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. With every appointment, I have one-on-one therapy time with my physical therapist, unlike other cookie-cutter models I have experienced.My physical therapist goes way above and beyond to execute and reassess how my treatment plan is going for me and listens well to my responses and makes adjustments as needed. I have complex physical pain issues and needed trigger point needling to address unbearable pain and I happy to report that I am making great progress. I am in the hands of a very skilled clinician who really cares about my recovery. I highly recommend CT Family Physical Therapy.read more

I saw Mike after a tibial plateau fracture from a ski accident. I’ve been impressed with all aspects of Connecticut... Family Physical Therapy and couldn’t recommend it more. Unlike other physical therapists I’ve seen in the past, Mike does not run on autopilot. Sessions are designed around your needs and he makes adjustments as necessary instead of sticking to a generic plan. Throughout the process, I felt I was being heard and supported (and got better!).Additionally, I was so glad I chose to use a low volume PT facility where I often had much of the place to myself. The whole staff is so friendly and supportive. I truly did not feel like just another patient here but instead felt everything was individualized to my needs and progress.read more

CT Family Physical Therapy is the most professionally staffed PT facility I have ever been to and I have had several... orthopedic surgeries requiring PT.The facility is exceptionally clean and very well appointed. They have the most updated equipment and it is all very nicely placed.CT Family Physical Therapy is out of network for me and I decided to be treated by them because the entire time you are there you are given individualized therapy with a physical therapist. The therapist is always there watching you do the prescribed exercises along with giving you advice on how to perhaps do them in a more constructive way. The different modalities they use are individualized to give the best treatment for each specific patient.I saw Mike and he is the best! Professional, caring, and empathetic. I had a bicompartmental knee replacement at HSS and 6 weeks after being treated by Mike I am walking more than a mile a day and improving everyday.I highly recommend CT Family Physical therapy and will always use them in the future, if necessary. Many thanks to Liz and Mike for making my experience there a pleasure!read more

I’ve done physical therapy at Connecticut Family Physical Therapy twice now, and both times it has been a very good... experience. Liz has been nothing but cheerful and helpful handling bookings, and Mike is extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to patient needs and goals. I had been living with chronic achilles pain for almost a year. After going to orthopedics and a well respected... podiatrist to no avail, I started working with Kristen. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind. My pain went from a debilitating 8 down to a 2. I will continue to practice what she taught me. Highly recommend!!!read more

I had a partial knee replacement in July at HSS, they recommended CT Family Physical Therapy. What an awesome... experience I had.I worked with Kristen, she definitely has magic fingers. Whenever I came in with a different ache she was always able to figure out what the problem was, and fix it!!!My Dr. said to give it to 6 months, but I was pretty good to go after working diligently with Kristen after 4 1/2 months.Definitely recommend Ct Family Physical Therapy!read more

Connecticut Family Physical Therapy is a first rate operation all the way around! I tried to get into another random... place first and then CFPT was highly recommended to me. From evaluating insurance options, to scheduling appointments with Kim to my actual therapy with Kristin who is FABULOUS, every interaction with the staff was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. My sciatica is already much improved and I still have several sessions left. I highly recommend CFPT for any physical therapy needs you might have. You will not be disappointed!read more

Mike is the absolute best when it comes to PT. I'm three months out from recovering from Achilles tendon surgery and... he's been a lifesaver. He's knowledgeable in listening to your wants/needs and helping you get back up to full recovery with realistic expectations. I've been going to CT Physical Therapy for 3 months now 2x a week and I would highly recommend it to anyone whose looking to recover from surgery and get back to 100%.read more

I sprained my ankle very badly the day I moved to Westport and could barely walk, so unfortunately I had to use... crutches for 5 weeks which was pretty discouraging. But thank goodness I discovered CT Family Physical Therapy because working with Kristen got me on the fast track to recovery and I’m very happy to report that after 5 weeks of sessions I can now run up and and down the stairs again and go about my daily life with no trouble at all! Kristen was so great to work with, I really enjoyed our sessions! She also gave me exercises to do at home and sent a link for very easy to follow online instructional videos. And Liz at the front desk couldn’t have been friendlier. It’s a very comfortable, pleasant environment and I really enjoyed my time there. In fact I actually missed going once I finally completed my treatment, although I am so happy Kristen was able to get my ankle back to normal! I’m very grateful for the care I got at CT Family Physical Therapy and hopefully I won’t have any future injuries, but if I do, I know I have a great place to go for rehab! I went to Connecticut Family Physical Therapy after total knee replacement surgery. I started with a very sore knee,... challenges walking, climbing stairs and doing general self-care. I left 2 months later with complete confidence in my ability to do all of the above. They are professional, friendly and had a way of challenging my ability to continue to improve. I highly recommend this agency as my experience there was extremely positive.read more

For two months I've had physical therapy with Kristen. The therapy has been very helpful. Kristen uses the perfect... combination of pushing me to keep strengthening, while at the same time being sensitive to my tolerance level. It is very important to do exercises daily at home, though, as two times a week will not have the best results. I highly recommend Kristen and the CT Family Physical Therapy center.read more

In less than two months after knee surgery, Kristen at CT Family Physical Therapy got me back out power walking and... biking. The physical therapy sessions coupled with the home maintenance program Kristen designed has helped me recover in such a short time span. Kristen is so professional, knowledgeable and personable. This is the second time I am using the talents of Amanda and team at CT Family. The first time, I did physical therapy... for a hip replacement, and today I don't even remember I had surgery!The second time, I broke 2 ribs on a boat accident and they were not on my new Insurance. I tried 2 other local llaces, and the difference was huge - the other places had "interns" working with me, white the Physical Therapist was working with someone else while giving instructions to 4 other interns. I ended up thinking my body was more important than my savings, and went back to AmandaThat does not happen at CT Family Physical Therapy. Amanda will work with me and correct my form, making sure I am improving with each session. I just saw my doctor as Hospital of Special Surgery this week, and she is very happy with my progress.On top of all, everyone in the practice is very nice and accommodating of my schedule.read more

Having recently injured my shoulder, my physician suggested that I see a physical therapist. New to physical therapy, I... asked two friends if they could recommend someone. Fortunately, both had gone to CT Family Physical Therapy and both agreed it is their number one choice for PT.That was enough for me. I called and booked an appointment with Michael Racca, and WOW, I was not disappointed! With thirty years of experience, Michael's ability to listen was a welcomed relief! He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. I'm glad to say, my shoulder has improved with each session. First and foremost Michael is a gifted healer. Highly recommended!read more
