Liz Chau has been practicing physical therapy since 2001. She started her PT career in acute care rehabilitation and has since then, provided services in diverse settings. More recently, Liz has been serving in a private practice center, specializing in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. Liz comes to CT Family Practice with an early career in infectious disease research and vaccine development at Harvard Medical School/ Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston and undergraduate degree from Columbia University/Barnard College. Her passion is to use evidence based practice along with treating each person as a whole in the delivery individualized care to achieve long term wellness.
Trained in classical ballet as well as martial arts, she is excited about integrated healthcare and incorporating eastern medical therapies into her practice of physical therapy. She is in the process of pursuing an acupuncture degree and in her free time, enjoys playing competitive beach volleyball.
